This floating house designed by Michael Meredith of Toronto-based MOS combines country cottage atmosphere and a beautiful wetland call for swimmers, boaters and fishermen out there. This floating house sits on the water among windswept trees and the characteristic, rocky Canadian Shield terrain – not an easy spot to built, but definitely worth the effort. These photographs, a 20-minute boat ride from the mainland, the perfect backdrop for this island home, which is described be classified as a “chain” of buildings around the island – one of the main house with a built-in boathouse and dock, and a to climb series of separate houses on the many overnight guests to spend the summer here to accommodate. The wooden hut with their environment, which seems unaffected, offers the perfect vacation. The interior, as 1,250 m² is lined with wood – walls, ceilings, floors and even the bathroom fixtures.
